You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger

Well, I’ve just finished watching the above film for the first time.

I hated it.

First,it was agonising watching Anthony Hopkins in the role of Alfie. He looked so out of place in the nightclubs-yes this is what the director was going for but don’t do this to Sir Anthony Hopkins.Cast a fading legend if you want. Couldn’t they have put Bill Murray or someone else.Watching this film there was only one thing going through my head when he comes on the screen,”He’s above this.” I’d really like to know why he thought this was a good idea. 

The film itself is good but miscast.Dia,Alfie and the horrendous mother played by Gemma Jones. 

Best if I just leave out the part where I rant about the lame ending.

I went and watched the Rite to make me feel better.
